She is married to filmmaker Tom Ackerley, with whom she founded the production company LuckyChap Entertainment, which has produced some of her films and the TV series Dollface (2019).

Robbie is the daughter of Doug Robbie and Sarie Kessler, a physical therapist. He has three brothers, Lachlan “Lockie” Robbie, Cameron Robbie, and Anya Robbie.
She is a good friend of actor Sam Clark and actresses Ashleigh Brewer, Caitlin Stasey and Christina Ricci. Robbie shared an apartment with Ashleigh in 2009 and Ricci in 2011.
Robbie started dating British director Tom Ackerley in 2014. The couple married in December 2016 in a private ceremony in Byron Bay.
